This shawl design is a reminder that you don’t have to use cake yarn from beginning to end. You can separate the colors in a yarn cake and use them how you want! You can use any weight of yarn you want in as many colors as you want. Go wild with color!

This pattern is made from the top down. It uses beginner stitches and is super easy to remember, only a 3-row repeat! Definitely one you can make while watching tv or chatting with a group of friends! We will be making “train tracks” in alternating colors. To get the train tracks look you will need at least 2 colors or as many as you wish. This is a great way to pare down your stash! Just make sure you use the same weight throughout.

My finished shawl is 61” across the top and 27” from the neck to the point.
