Project Description: Reminiscent of frolicking, dancing waves, this lovely cowl will become a favorite. Making Waves is knit in the round. A stockinette stitch lining was added to the purple Silk Bamboo Dk version.

Materials: US Size 8 (5.00mm) 16” – 24” circular needle, 12 - 15 stitch markers, 200 - 300 yards of dk or worsted weight yarn, darning needle. Purple version was knit in 2 skeins of Patons Silk Bamboo DK weight, 70% Viscose from Bamboo 30% Silk, 102 yds (93 m), 2.2 oz (65 g) and lined in stockinette stitch. The Blue-green version was knit in 1.5 skeins of worsted weight Malabrigo Rios Pure Merino Superwash, 100 gms, 210 yds and was not lined.

Dimensions: 29” in circumference and 6.75” tall for the purple version with 13 repeats and 32” and 8.5” tall for the blue-green version in worsted weight yarn with 15 repeats.

Gauge: 4.5 sts/inch, blocked in Scroll Pattern. To save time, take time to check gauge.

The lace pattern is easy to memorize and makes for a fun project!
