This placemat is a beautiful addition to any table setting (my hubby even likes it!). It works over a one-row repeat and is a very easy stitch to memorize. It can also be easily adapted to any size that you like, although yarn usage will be affected. The fringe and beads (both optional) make an interesting accent to the piece.

This placemat is striped; however, you won’t be cutting the yarn with each row. Instead, you’ll carry the yarn with your work.

Lion Brand Comfy Cotton Blend Yarn (50% Cotton / 50% Polyester; 392 yds / 358 m; 7 oz / 200g) - 160 yds / 146 m in color “Chai Latte” (Main color) and 151 yds / 138 m in color “Whipped Cream” (Contrast color)
US Size G / 4mm crochet hook
14 smaller wood beads for decorative fringe (optional)
