‘Maklu’ scarf is worked flat, in one piece.
You start with 2x2 rib border, then do several increases for the Main part. Main part is worked in reverse stockinette with travelling cables, creating fine vertical chevron pattern. I provide both charted and written instructions for your convenience. You finish with several decreases and another border in 2x2 rib.

Intermediate. Long-tail Cast on, knit and purl stitches, increases, decreases, simple 2- and 3-stitch cables, Latvian Bind off.

Yarn
You will need ~ 850 meters / 930 yards of fingering-weight yarn.

The sample is knit out of Knoll Lambswool 100 % merino wool 424 metres / 459 yards per 100 g / 3.5 oz. and used 850 metres / 930 yards.

Gauge is not critical, but deviating from it will result in a different size of final product and required amount of yarn.
