I love the new Yarnadelic range of yarns that have recently been released by John Arbon Textiles and knew I wanted to design a garment using them.

I really love the teal/blue shades in this range and the name of the Cardigan was inspired by the Malachite crystal with the similar colour lines that it has running through it, which inspired me to create the various blue shade design in the Yoke.

The main body requires 3{3:3:4:4:4:4] x 100g skeins of Indigo Dust shade and 1 x 25g skein of Woman in Blue and 1 x 25g skein in Of my Hands.

What’s great about this yarn is that it can be purchased in both 100g and 25g skeins.

The body of the cardigan is knitted from the bottom up in one piece back and forth on rows.

The sleeves are knitted in the round using the magic loop technique then the body and sleeves are joined where a Yoke is then knitted.

It really is a comfortable, soft cardigan to wear and is perfect for that extra layer on those cooler days.
