Malanda Textured Newsboy Cap with Strap
The following copy is from the designer’s Etsy site:
Ahh…Winter is coming. Listed is Malanda - a winter version of my original Crazy Easy Textured Newsboy Cap in Cotton-Bestseller since 2007. Malanda will fit average size adult and teen female noggins. I also give optional sizing suggestions for making cap longer and wider.
Cap is worked in a bulky yarn called Loops and Threads “Charisma” which is a Michaels brand yarn and is available in all their stores. I love this acrylic yarn and it was perfect for this project. If you must substitute yarn, please do not use thinner yarns. Ex: Please do not use Bernat Softee Chunky. Although Bernat is a nice #5 yarn, its fibers are much too thin for this particular project. Bulky (#5 category) yarns vary in thickness. Top of hat is slightly different to help keep head warm and have added an optional fun strap. Lush textured stitch is same as in original cotton newsboy.
PLEASE NOTE THAT LISTING IS FOR E-PATTERN ONLY AND NOT ACTUAL CAP.
I would rate this an intermediate beginner pattern for crafters who can crochet in the round and read patterns. Knowledge of single crochet and half double crochet is required.
Kindly read my Shop Announcement and Policies section for details re: copyright, etc. before purchasing.
Cap has an insert-free stash friendly visor. This is an easy pattern crocheted in the round without having to use slip stitches at end of each round.
I literally spend weeks working on patterns so that they really fit, are fashionista attractive and timeless in design. My goal is to provide a relaxing, successful and positive experience. Files are in PDF format (Microsoft is available upon request) and will be emailed within 24 hours of receipt of PayPal payment. There are no returns due to nature of listing. There are no shipping charges.
