Malas Sweater
‘Malas’ (mä.läs) means ‘lazy’ in Bahasa Melayu. To be ‘malas’ is to put yourself first. Allowing yourself to appreciate the slow days, or to sleep 5 minutes (or hours) longer. In a world that wants you to be constantly productive in cyclical work, we want you take care of yourself first.

CONSTRUCTION
The Malas Sweater is worked from the top, featuring drop shoulders and straight sleeves. The back panel is worked on with Stocking/Stockinette Stitch first. Then the right front panel and left front panel are picked up separately and worked along with neckline shaping.
Once completed, the front panels are joined and worked on together before joining in the round. The main body is worked in the round. The sleeves are picked up and worked in the round after the body is completed. Ribbing is applied to the neckline, hem, and sleeves.
