Male Victorian Caroler
When I designed the female Victorian Caroler for a bookmark or Ornament, I felt like I needed a male Victorian Caroler to got with her.
This is a fun ornament for the Intermediate Level crocheter to make.
The crochet stitches include, sc, hdc, dc, tr and sl st and front loop and back loop work. The pattern includes description of
abbreviations and complete instructions with picture tutorials where needed.
Materials: bedspread weight cotton thread (size 10)
10 yards peach (or choice of skin color)
30 yards burgundy (or choice of pants, hat and lapel color)
25 yards spruce green (or choice of coat color)
6 yards cream or white (or choice of Caroler Songbook Pages)
10 yards black (or choice of shoe, songbook cover, hat band & eye color)
10 yards cream Caron Simply Soft Yarn or sport weight yarn (or choice of sweater & Muffler color yarn)
Small amount red (or choice of mouth color) could also use embroidery floss
1 skein black (or choice of hair color) embroidery floss
Small amount of polyester fiberfill.
Tapestry needle
Boye Steel Crochet hook size 1 (2.25mm) for working crochet thread
Aluminum Crochet hook size C (2.75mm) for working with the yarn
Washable fabric glue.
