Malocchio In Lido Hat and Cowl MCAL
It is cold in Lido, the Mohawk River is icy, and the Galliano Club and Lido Premium Copper Mill are the settings for murder, blackmail, and revenge. A hat and mobius cowl set with some copper “wire” and a stitch pattern featuring undulating currents will keep you warm as you get to know the characters in this first book in the Galliano thriller series.
This is an MCAL AND readalong hosted by myself, Sunshine Weaving and Fiber Arts, author Carmen Amato, and local dyer Maple and Barley Fiber Co. Kits with the books and all yarn, plus the pattern are available for a limited time at Sunshine Weaving!
It features the Galliano Club thriller series and there will be a kit for each book. The first book is Murder At the Galliano Club, and the MCAL is the Malocchio in Lido matching hat and mobius cowl set.
Gauge: Approx. 1 pattern repeat = 5” across and 1” high (Chevron in Pieces pattern)
Both projects are made with worsted weight wool. You will need approx. 436 yds of worsted weight plus 43 yds of worsted weight in a contrast color. (When you read the books, you will understand why I chose a copper color!) Note - a miniskein of 43 yards of fingering weight can also be used in place of worsted.
The three main color choices offered in the kits were Mohawk River Winter (an icy gray), Luca’s Olive Groves (yes, an olive green), and Ruth’s Scarlet Scandal (a brickish red).
Starting in October, one clue will be released each month for a total of four clues.
