The Maloja wind is a warm wind blowing down from the Maloja pass in Switzerland. The interwoven cables on these fingerless mitts flow over your hands to warm them as the Maloja wind warms the countryside. Quickly knit in DK weight, these mitts work great during the spring and fall shoulder seasons, or indoors during the chilly winter months. The mitts are knit in the round, with a repeating cable stitch that is done without a cable needle - a photo tutorial is included in the pattern. Instructions for three sizes are provided - teen/adult small, and adult medium and large, with additional options for customizing length.

Skills: knitting in the round, picking up stitches to add thumb; no-cable-needle cables (photo tutorial).
