Malva
Malva is an elegant and simple lace shawl, with a stockinette stitch body and a beautiful lace edging. It has a crescent shape that makes it drape well over the shoulders.
The flower motif on the lace edging is worked with traditional estonian lace stitches. The knitting starts with the lace edging. Stitches are then picked up along the edge, and the shawl is is shaped with short rows.
The pattern is suitable for intermediate knitters. Specific required skills are listed below. Instructions are both written and charted. The pattern has been test knit and professionally tech edited to reduce the possibility for error, but if you have questions or believe that you have found an error, please contact me.
