5.00mm(U.S H/8) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
Aran (Worsted weight) yarn. I used Hayfield Aran Bonus with 20% wool in the colour Burgundy (764)- 400g balls. The colour choices are gorgeous and it is budget friendly since this project uses so much yarn. See chart below for approximately how much yarn you will need.

Gauge:
15 stitches/12 rows= 10cmX10cm (4X4 inch) square in half double crochet

The Mama Magdalena Jacket is designed with a negative ease of 0-10cm/0-4in. Due to the weight of the skirt, the top of the jacket will stretch significantly when the skirt is added. There are many places for you to personalise the sizing so that it fits exactly to your body. Pictured is a size small. I have a 86.5cm/34in bust.
A NOTE ABOUT THE SLEEVES* After the testing stage of this pattern most testers preferred a slim fit sleeve. If you would prefer a loose fitting sleeve, decrease less.
