My friend Stefanie asked for some bright orange socks for her birthday. I was free to design what I wanted to knit and had fun with some small cables.

The socks have the gusset increase incorporated into the top of the feet, using the cable design.
The cables are intuitive enough, that I worked most of these socks while walking along the waterways in Berlin.

The name ‘Mamsell’ is also from a site in Berlin, my friends little café and chocolate shop located at Goltzstrasse.

Size Size S (20.5 cm / 8 inches), Size M (23 cm / 9 inches), Size L (25.5 cm / 10 inches)

Needles: 2.5mm (US 1.5) needles tow rok in the round.

Yarn: Woll Butt Söckli 4 ply 2 skein 75% wool, 25% polyamide; 210 meters per 50g ball in orange

Difficulty: Basic sock knitting, cables, chart reading.
