Man In The Moon Wreath
This pattern includes instructions on how to make the wreath cover and facial features as well as how to assemble the finished wreath.
This pattern is written in English using American crochet terms and contains photos to help you every step of the way. It has been independently tested prior to publication.
You will need:
Chunky weight (equivalent to bulky weight) yarn of your choice for the wreath cover and DK weight (equivalent to light worsted weight) yarn for the star.
You will need the following colours:
Dark Blue Chunky Yarn, I used Stylecraft Special Chunky in shade French Navy (approx. 48.5m)
Pale Yellow Chunky Yarn, I used Stylecraft Special Chunky in shade Lemon (approx. 64.5m)
Dark Yellow DK Yarn, I used Patons Smoothie DK in shade Sunshine (approx. 4m)
Please Note = The amount of yarn used will vary according to yarn weight, hook size and stitch tension so these measurements are only a rough guide.
You will also need:
A suitable size hook for the yarn you have chosen - I used a 5mm hook for the wreath cover & a 4mm hook for the star.
A very small amount of toy stuffing.
A 25cm flat-backed polystyrene / styrofoam wreath base.
A tapestry needle (the longer, the better).
A black button for the eye (the button I used was 15mm in diameter).
You may find it useful to have some long nosed pliers (for pulling the needle through the wreath).
Any additional decorations you would like to add - stars / sequins / beads etc and some ‘invisible’ clear nylon thread to attach them with.
Other tools you will need are some scissors, some pins and a stitch marker.
You are welcome to sell the items that you make using this pattern, but please do not sell / share the pattern itself. Thank you.
