DESCRIPTION

Finished chalk bag will be ~5 inches wide and ~5 inches tall. The chalk bag only uses half-double crochet (plus a little slip stitching) and simple techniques of increasing and decreasing to create the cute flippers, snout, tail, and eyebrows. The entire manatee can be made with one skein of Lion Brand Jeans Yarn; I chose the grey Vintage color, but mix it up and pick a bright, colorful one!

MATERIALS

Lion Brand Jeans Yarn in Vintage (Weight: 4/medium, 100 g/225 m): 1 skein needed
Scraps of black yarn for snout nostrils
Size H (5 mm) crochet hook
Finishing needle
Sew on googly eyes or large safety eyes
Polyester fiberfill
~1 yard of paracord for belt
14 inches of paracord
Toggle stopper
Lightweight fabric liner (<1 square yard)
