Manchester Shawl
This is a simple triangular ‘granny square’ style shawl with a twist. It’s designed as a large winter shawl, but can be made bigger or smaller by increasing or decreasing the main body/centre section.
The shawl is ‘gauge free’, but make sure you go up at least 2 hook sizes on the recommended. Feel free to use as many or as few colours as you wish!
This is step-by-step written instruction pattern over 6 pages.
This shawl can be made in any weight yarn (the finer the yarn the smaller the final shawl will be), I made mine in DK and Aran weight yarn.
DK weight yarn used six 100g balls
Aran weight yarn used two 800g balls.
Feel free to do what you like with the finished product - credit for the pattern design would be nice. Please do not use or distribute the pattern. Thank you.
