Description
This design is inspired by my own mandala knit designs. I wanted to incorporate a mandala design onto a beret, that way I could take it everywhere.

The beret is worked from the top down seamlessly in the round, starting with the pinhole cast on and pi shawl formula to make the mandala design. Once the mandala is complete, increases are made to achieve the beret final diameter, then decreases are made and it ends up with the brim, made in 1x1 rib.

22 stitches x 28 rounds = 10cm / 4″, over stockinette stitch worked in the round on 3.5mm needles after blocking.

Phildar Phil Cabotine (55% Acrylic, 45% Cotton, DK weight, 124m/ 135yd per 50g skein)
Shade: Ecru, 2 skeins.

Needles
3.5mm / US 4 circular needle, 40cm / 16″ length or DPNsand needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round.
3mm / US 2½ circular needle, 40cm / 16″ length.
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.

Notions
8 stitch markers (1 unique), tapestry needle.

Descripción
Esta boina surge de la idea de tejer un mandala para algo más que solo decorar, si no que poder utilizarlo en una prenda.

Se teje desde arriba hacia abajo comenzando con un hermoso diseño de mandala y trabajando con la fórmula pi shawl, luego de lograr el tamaño de mandala, se realizan aumentos para obtener el diámetro final de la boina. Se realizan disminuciones hasta llegar a la circunferencia necesaria para la pretina, la cual se trabaja en punto elástico 1x1.
