I wanted to try the idea of turning a mandala into a market bag, and it worked! It makes a perfect little project bag or accessory for your next picnic or visit to the beach or markets. I had hoped to make it with a single ball of cotton, but there just wasn’t enough so I went with a contrasting colour from my stash to finish it off. I have used a pattern that I had in a book at home – Mandalas to Crochet by Haafner Linssen – rewritten it to make it easier to follow and then extended the pattern to create the market bag.
