This is what you’ll need:

3 or 4 ply cotton yarn in 4 colors
2,5mm or 3mm crochet hook Needle (for weaving and sewing)
French knitter (for the handle)
(Jute or sisal) rope for the handle.

sl st (slip stitch)
sc (single crochet)
dc (double crochet)
hdc (half double crochet)
hdc2tog (decrease of hdc; half double crochet 2 together)
yo (yarn over)
tsc (twisted single crochet); insert hook, draw up a loop, twist crochet hook counterclockwise (now the loops are twisted on hook), yo and pull through
