This pattern will show you how to make your own DIY Mandala Wall art by crocheting separate mandalas and then joining them together (with an optional fringe attached). There are 18 different mandalas ranging from 3” to 14”, all crocheted around a hoop.
You can easily pick and choose which mandalas you’d like to make to fit your space, or you can make all of them; they can be arranged any way you’d like.
To make mine, I used a bit less than 2 skeins of Red Heart Super Saver in White for the mandalas and a tiny bit of 3rd skein to finish the fringes. I used an I (5.5 mm) crochet hook and 9 different wooden embroidery hoops (3”, 4”, 5”, 6”, 7”, 8”, 10”, 12”, 14”) that I separated to get 2 wooden hoops for each size. Mandala patterns are named according to the hoop used (ex: 10” Inner Mandala is the one made on the inner 10” hoop while 5” Outer Mandala is the one made on the outer 5” hoop).
You’re welcome to use other yarns, but please check your gauge on this one! If your mandalas are too large or too small, it won’t look very good when you attach it to the hoop. Each mandala should be smaller than the hoop it corresponds to so that it stretches a bit and holds its shape instead of sagging.
You’re welcome to do whatever you’d like to with finished products made from this pattern but if you do sell them, I ask that you link back to my page. You may not copy this pattern, repost it anywhere (either altered or in its original form), or claim it as your own. You may not use any photos on this site for your own use.
