Mandarina Scarf
Say hello to the Mandarina Scarf! This design was originally inspired by Taylor Swift’s Evermore dress from the Eras Tour. The plant-like details on the bodice became the inspiration for the lace work in this pattern. I knew I wanted to use an orange-y yarn.
Shortly after I purchased the yarn and started drafting the lace pattern, I took a trip to South Korea. While I was there, I visited Jeju - an island just south of Korea. There are many things that make Jeju special, but the most memorable for me was the tangerines. Tangerines are part of the local industry and tourism, so there is an abundance of the color orange - boxes of fresh tangerines, tangerine magnets, hats, umbrellas and more and more!
This scarf is really an ode to the color orange, a celebration of one of my favorite colors. Whether you want to make your own orange scarf, or choose your own favorite color. The easy repeats and extra wide size are sure to make you a scarf that will keep you cozy and warm this autumn.
What you’ll find in this pattern:
