This is a pattern for an ornately twisted shawl. The placement of the stitches gives the shawl a geometric look. It is quite warm even though it is knit with sport weight yarn as a result of the twisted stitches. The look is both unique and eye catching.
This stole is knitted with sport weight yarn, measures approximately 18 inches x 74 inches can and requires approximately 800 - 1000 yards.
The stitches are charted only. Two methods of how to make both the Right Twist and Left Twist stitches are explained within the pattern.
Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a very good working knowledge of knitting, purling, and either knowledge of twisting stitches or ability to learn) This shawl can be knit in a single piece, or two halves (instructions within the pattern)
There are also instructions for an optional crocheted border, should you want it edged.
The shawl was expertly test knitted by ktbowen18@ msn.com and was knit with Handmaiden/Fleece Artist’s BFL Sport weight yarn.
