here I present my interpretation of mandrakes in 1 download with patterns in 2 sizes to conjure 3 different magical roots in rising degrees of difficulty.

You can use any yarn you like, select the hook size according to the yarn.
I worked with cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook - the root dolls are 12 - 14 cm (Alraunchen) and 14 - 16 cm (Mandragora & Baaras) in hight.

The pattern is free for private use only and available in English (US terminology used) and German.
