Like Manet’s painting, The Brioche, this cowl uses straight lines to lead the eye to the rounded focal points. This cowl combines simple brioche stitches at the top with gentle increases that allow it to fan out toward the bottom.

The cowl is worked in the round from the top down, beginning with a rolled edge and simple brioche. Increases and decreases provide visual interest and allow the cowl to fan out at the base of the neck.

One skein of each of two colors is used.
