Directions are written for small (40) size with changes for medium (42-44), large (46) and extra large (48) in parentheses. to make design you need 8 ounces red knitting worsted for main color for entire back and borders on front, 4 (4,4,6,6) ounces white for contrasting color for vest front; one pair each sizes 8 and 10 standard knitting needles or size needed to work to gauge; and 4 buttons.”
