Mantelito Pendant and Earrings
Crocheted Earrings are the perfect accessory to compliment any outfit. With a small amount of embroidery or crochet thread and a small hook, you can easily whip up a new pair of earrings and matching pendant for every day of the week. Wear crochet every day.
This pattern is really 3-in-1. Double your thread to make a large pendant for a necklace. Use one strand to make a small pair of earrings (rounds 1-3) or use one strand to make a SHOW STOPPING pair of earrings using all 5 rounds.
• All directions are written in American Crochet Terms.
• Gauge is not essential for this project, but tight stitches will result in an earring that holds its shape better.
• This pattern can be worked in any size crochet thread or yarn and appropriate hook. Experiment with different size thread/yarn and hooks to achieve smaller or larger earrings or decorative pieces.
Materials
• Lizbeth Metallics Crochet Thread
• Tulip Microfiber Thread (size 10)
• 1.5mm, 1.65mm and 2.0mm hooks
• Small needle for weaving in ends
• 2 fish hook ear-wires
• 1 jump ring
• 1 necklace
• Aleene’s Stiffen Quik or any other brand clear-drying fabric stiffening spray
• Flat-nosed jewelry pliers
Notes
• This pattern can be worked in any size crochet thread and appropriate hook. Experiment with different size thread/yarn and hooks to achieve smaller or larger pendant/earrings.
• For pendant, I held one strand of each thread together and used the 2.0mm hook.
• For the small earrings, I used one strand of microfiber thread and 1.65mm hook.
• For the large earrings, I used one strand of metallic thread and the 1.5mm hook.
