A capelet is what I prefer for keeping my shoulders warm instead of a shawl. This capelet does not restrict my arms, the length covers my back as well as my arms, the cowl can be pulled up to keep my neck warm, and it stays on when I’m moving around (no shawl pin needed!). The bobble and lace pattern around the bottom, with its slightly scalloped edge, adds interest but is worked in a stitch pattern that is easy to remember.
