This triangular scarf is knit sideways to take advantage of the every last yard of the yarn. I tend to pick a looser needle size to make the piece draper, but you should find the gauge that works for you and your yarn.

This pattern works well in handspun and commercial yarns. I recommend it for odd skeins in your stash.

The simple, repetitive nature of the pattern makes it perfect for early knitters, or for mindless travel knitting.
