This design is an extension of the Maple Grove Blanket I designed for my youngest daughter while I was heavily pregnant. My inspiration was a gorgeous set of gradient colourways (the Maple Vanilla colourway set) on Springvale Bulky yarn from Three Irish Girls. The name Maple Grove seemed appropriate given the yarn name and the fact that the blanket looks like a grove of trees.
