Maple Leaf 20
Happy Canada Day, eh! This little square could be used as part of a blanket or on it’s own as a potholder (make sure to use cotton so it doesn’t melt!) or make 2 and create a pillow cover! I’ll probably hang my squares on the front door for a few days.
You will receive a chart (41 x 41) which can be used for both interlocking and mosaic crochet. I am sure there are other crafts that can use the chart too!
I have written line by line instructions (using US terminology) for single-row / cut-and-tie mosaic crochet and also Locked Filet Mesh (LFM), which is interlocking crochet.
And, now includes a chart marked with X’s for mosaic crochet!
Both types of crochet work with one color at a time in alternating rows to create the design. interlocking crochet uses only chain spaces and double crochets to create a mesh and the “wrong” side is sometimes as pretty as the front.
Mosaic crochet is single crochet and double crochet stitches. The double crochet stitches cover some of the other color’s single crochet stitches to create the design. The back is striped.
I have YouTube tutorials available for both crochet methods! Follow this link to get to my YouTube channel and find my other social links: https://ashleeslint.com/link-in-bio.
