Maple Leaf Bag
Level 2-Advanced (angle stitches)
The Maple Leaf Bag crochet pattern was created for my 2023 Crochet-Along (CAL) event (which has concluded). It was originally released in 5 separate sections and is now available in full! I have recorded 10 video tutorials specific to the pattern to give you step by step instructions for any skills over and above the basic mosaic overlay crochet stitches. It is worked in the round, so there are no tails to weave in. Plus, this is a great opportunity to learn angle stitches if you haven’t tried them yet!
This mosaic crochet pattern is an advanced skill level and is recommended for crocheters with experience in mosaic overlay crochet. Detailed instructions, photos, and video tutorials will guide you through each step of the project. With a little bit of patience and practice, you’ll be a pro in no time!
If you are new to angle stitches, I highly recommend trying them first with this free Heart Mug Rug pattern. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/heart-mug-rug-2 This small 7”x 7” project is a great introduction to my angle notation system and includes my full stitch key.
Written for Mosaic Overlay Crochet, this pattern includes:
• Charts
• Written Pattern
• Detailed Instructions packet
• Stitch Key
• Photo tutorials
• Video tutorials for each type of stitch used in the pattern
Size: 14”x 14”

This calculation is based on weight 4 yarn and hook size of 5mm. Gauge: 4 stitched and 4 rows=1 inch

This pattern is divided into 5 sections (3 pages each) and is worked in the round. I would suggest using the Knit Companion app (my personal preference as it is brilliant and saves on printer ink and paper), but I have also included layout instructions for the charts if you prefer to print out your pages. The written pattern sections correlate with the charts so they can be used together.
Special thanks to Anita Schadeck and Kathy Gleich for testing this pattern.
The instructions packet and video tutorials should answer any questions you may have. I also have a Facebook group dedicated to answering questions and building community around my patterns. Please join us!
