YARN:
DK (#3) light worsted weight. Approx 400-500yds
MATERIALS:
H/8 (5.0 mm)-I/9 (5.5 mm) and J/10 (6 mm) hooks, tapestry needle, scissors, tape measure, sewing needle and thread, decorative but-ton(s) (approx 25mm-35mm) and/or other NON-fastening embellishments (like a cameo, brooch etc), 1”-1 ½” lace (8-10yds), 2 sets of hooks & eyes (these are what will fasten the collar/cowl closed), optional clear nail polish or fabric glue to ‘finish off’ cut edges of lace

• PreTeen-Adult MED: fits 13”-14.5” around neck
• Adult MED-Adult LG: fits 14.5”-16” around neck
• Adult XL: fits 16.5”- 17.5” around neck
ALL SIZES: collar/cowl measures approx 8”- 12” tall (depending on size you work up and width of lace you use)
GAUGE:
5sts x 4 rows= 1”x1” square swatch
STITCH GUIDE:
ch(s) - chain(s), sc - single crochet, sc2tog - single crochet TWO together (decrease), sc3tog – single crochet THREE together (de-crease), st(s) - stitch(es), sl st – slip stitch
SPECIAL STITCHES:
This pattern uses a stitch called the Rocking Stitch, which is a combination of ch1 spaces and sc2tog/sc3tog stitches. No additional techniques are required.
NOTES:
Using some kind of stitch marker to mark the beginning of each row will help being able to tell where the end of the NEXT row is (when determining how many sts are left in your row).
