This pattern is derived from and inspired by ancient Persian geometrical patterns remaining from the past.

It can be used in different settings and is perfect for gift-giving or updating your home decor. Maral is a beautiful name for girls meaning deer or ghazal.

The purse is just an example of what you can make with this pattern. But don’t limit yourself to this suggestion as you can make both small and bigger projects and also in flat and in-the-round formats.

It’s an easy pattern for beginners, although more experienced crocheters will also enjoy making beautiful projects with Maral.

Upon purchase, you will receive row-by-row written instructions and an X-marked chart.

Here are the yarn and hook I used for this purse. If you decide to make a bigger project such as a cushion, blanket, scarf, or table runner please make a swatch first to estimate the yarn you need to complete your project.

Yarn

Capri Eco Cotton Fuchsia (9936) as the main color (131 Yard, 75g)
Capri Eco Cotton Rose(9935)as the opposing color (131 Yard, 75g)

Hook

4.5 mm
Feel free to use the yarn of your choice but keep in mind that the size might be different and it depends on the weight of the yarn and the size of the hook chosen.

I used the in-the-round technique to make this purse but you can definitely use the flat format and make two pieces and sew them if you wish.
