Marcia's Kimono
This is a design based on the shape of a Japanese kimono. It is roomy and very easy to wear. That is why the design has only one size. The front and back follow two different lace patterns that are worked in strips and then joined with a contrasting color. It is easier to work this kind of design, rather than following several different patterns at once in one large piece. In addition, the joining of strips with a different color, gives a new dimension to the work, creating an interesting look.
This is part of Summer 2009 issue of Lace ‘n More magazine.
