This pattern was inspired by my beloved cat, Marcy, whose playful spirit and loving nature have brightened my life in ways I never imagined. As my first cat, she has been the perfect companion, always ready for adventure or a cozy day at home. I wanted to create something special for her—something simple yet functional, that she could wear with ease, whether lounging indoors or exploring the outdoors in her harness. Construction:
The sweater is worked top down, starting at the Neck. After working the Neck ribbing in the round, you’ll begin increases for the Yoke. The Yoke is further shaped using short rows before dividing the Chest and Back for the “armholes”. Then you’ll rejoin and work in the round for the Belly. Finally, you will cast off the Belly stitches and work the Tail flat.
