Mardi Gras Pot Holder
by Kelly Maust
I designed this pot holder for a friend of mine in New Orleans, where I lived for six years. It is the perfect accessory when making a pot of jambalaya or gumbo during carnival season! I used the Harlequin Stitch for that jester/parade/festival look.
I used Peaches & Cream and Sugar & Cream, but you can use any brand of 100% cotton yarn (I Love this Cotton, Crafter’s Secret, Bernat cotton, etc) if you prefer. Just make sure your yarn is 100% cotton as the acrylics will melt under heat!
This is my very first time writing a pattern, so please let me know if anything doesn’t make sense or isn’t clear.
Enjoy this free pattern and laissez les bons temps rouler!
