The MåREN shawlette is constructed by knitting side to side: the right hand side first, casting on and knitting together with the center lace panel, then knitting the left side. Pattern is adaptable to any size yarn from fingerling to light dk, just adjust needle size for optimum drape. This shawlette is casually based on the Faroe Island shawls, but simplified. In these shawls the center lace panel is different in that it is flat across the bottom, making an unusual adornment.
