Margaret Mittens is a colorwork charted pattern that uses a main color (MC), a contrast color (CC), and an optional accent color for the petals (AC).

The mittens are knit from cuff to tip following a chart that comes with 2 tip options: a pointy and a rounded one.

The circumference of the mittens is adjusted by varying the needles size and yarn weight. The length can be adjusted following 3 lengths variation options. The pattern also shows you how to adjust the thumb placement using some simple formulas.
(You will have to do a bit of math but don’t worry ! )

The circumference varies from 18.6 cm / 7.5 in. to 22.5 cm / 9 in. and the length from 15.5 cm / 6.25 in. to 26 cm / 10.25 in
( These measurement should include a positive ease of approx. 1.5 cm/ 0.5 in. )

The yarn that you use for this can vary from a fingering-weight to a DK-weight depending on your required size. This is a perfect stash-busting project since it requires very little yardage.

Here’s the yarn that I used for my samples (all samples takes less then 50 g of each colorway ):
