Margaret's Cockleshell Scarf
Cockleshell is a traditional Shetland pattern used for scarves, usually knit as an allover pattern. In this coat scarf Margaret combines the cockleshells with an attractive mesh to give a contrast in texture. The scarf is knit in halves that are grafted together so that each end of the scarf will be identical when worn. To make the scarf longer simply knit more repeats on each half of the scarf.
