These gloves were inspired by some woven, scalloped trim from the 1930s, found in a tin of vintage haberdashery.

They are a perfect introduction to colour work - using just 2 colours in a row. Each glove is made as a simple rectangle with one decrease row of shaping. The pattern uses knit and purl stitches – in stocking stitch, a double rib and moss stitch.

Finished Size: To fit a medium-sized adult hand measuring approximately 19 cm around the palm, above the thumb – the finished glove measures approximately 10 cm wide x 20 cm long.

Yarn: 3 x 50g balls of 4 ply yarn will give you enough to make a couple of pairs of gloves. We used 3 x 50g balls of Knitpicks Palette in Currant (A), Almond (B) & Spearmint (C).

1 Ball of each of the 3 colours will easily give you enough wool for a couple of pairs of these gloves.
