Marguerite & Violeta
I grew up watching my Great Aunt Marguerite, knit. She knit everything from blankets, to hats, to socks and baby clothes, but the thing I remember seeing her knit the most, were washcloths. Every year, without fail, she would gift my Mama a new set, and I remember always having them in our home. My memories of those simple little washcloths, and my sweet Great Aunt herself, are the inspiration behind my new washcloth set, Marguerite & Violeta.
She was an amazing woman who taught me more about life and a love for all things crafty, than I ever even knew at the time. She has been greatly missed for several years, but I look forward to carrying on her legacy and gifting my own set of washcloths to family and friends for many years to come.
This pattern includes instructions for two washcloths. Both washcloths are simple, go to knits that provide a little beauty to an everyday object. Finished measurement for both washcloths is
7” x 7” and they are great for any cotton yarn.
These washcloths are a beginner friendly knitting pattern for any knitter that knows how to do a simple cable.
