Marguerite
Marguerite is inspired by a small, rounded, flower-shaped vase created by @ida.noack. The vase captures the essence of nature’s beauty with its delicate, elegant petals, each rising towards the sun and stretching in its own direction to meet the light of day.
The vase’s rounded, graceful body gives it a soft, inviting appearance. Both the vase and the blouse narrow towards the bottom, adding a sense of lightness and a feminine tone to the design.
Marguerite is knitted with 1 strand of Tilia and 1 strand
of Alva, in the round on circular needles, working topdown
with increases evenly distributed across the yoke.
After the yoke and all increases are completed, the
work is divided into body and sleeves, and each part is
finished separately.
I-cord bind-offs are used for both the sleeve edges and
the body.
Stitches are picked up along the neckline, and petals
are knitted from these stitches. The petals are shaped
using short rows and finished with an I-cord edge.
Once all the petals are worked, stitches are picked up
along the neck opening, and the neckband is worked in
knit stitch from the wrong side, creating a rolled edge.
