Mari socks are knitted from the cuff down, full of twisted stitches, little cables and a tiny bit of lace in the middle. Sock have a heel flap and a rounded heel. Quick and cosy knit with thicker yarn.

2 sizes (or more) with using different types of yarn and needle sizes

Gauge: in Stockinette stitch with DK yarn 22 sts / 10 cm and 3,5 mm needles, with Sport yarn 25 sts / 10 cm and 3,0 mm needles.

Sizes: socks are ideal for 22 cm circumfence in DK (Sport) yarn, but with using another size of needles you can achieve a different size. The length is adjustable.

Needles: the socks are worked on circular needles

  • for the DK yarn: 3,25 mm for cuff and 3,5 mm for the rest
  • for the sport yarn: 2,5 mm for cuff and 3 mm for the rest

Yarn: you can use any sport or DK yarn of your choice. Socks on the photos are knitted with DK yarn Novita 7 Veljestä Nature (color Black grouse, 2 skeins) and sport yarn Tukuwool Sock (color Repo, 1 skein).

Total yardage: DK yarn app 210–220 m, sport yarn 260-280 m
