Maria v1.0 and 1.5
Maria v1.0 and v1.5 (the yellow one) are both knit similarly - sideways, from tip to center, then the sides are grafted together.
The shawl can be made longer and wider by simply adding more repeats.
The samples were knit in heavy weight lace yarn (800yd/100 skein) and sock yarn (app. 400yd/100g skein).
Heavy lace version: takes less than one full skein and can be made bigger without having to get a second skein. The final measurements of this sample are approximately 188cm (74 in) long by 54cm (21 in) tall. Thanks to GretchenX for reminding me to add the measurements!
Sock yarn version: unless you want to get a second skein to knit only a few rows, this shawl will have one less repeat than the lace one.
The pattern is charted.
Other materials necessary: tapestry needle and waste yarn (or st holder).
