Mariana’s Baby Blanket was designed for my niece’s first baby. It has an easy pattern repeat, rich in texture and surrounded by what I call a “Picket Stitch”. The approximate finished size is 30” X 36”. I used a sport weight yarn, so it’s light weight yet warm & snuggly.
This blanket could easily be made using a worsted weigh yarn and
6mm/J hook. I have included worsted weight yarn in the instructions.

YARN: I Love This Yarn Sport Weight yarn in White or color of choice,
1200 yds (6 skeins)
I Love This Yarn worsted weight in color of choice (4 skeins)

HOOK: 5mm/H hook for Sport weight yarn, 6mm/J hook for worsted
weight yarn

SUPPLIES: Scissors, Tapestry Needle, 4 stitch markers
