This is my first published pattern and I owe it all to my mentor and friend, knitting/crochet teacher and fabulous designer Betty McKnit (see her on Ravelry). Her “Maiya’s Roommate’s Hat” is the inspiration for this cowl, since it was the first hat I was able to make and wear. I wanted to create a simple cowl that matched the hat. The great thing is you can get one of these cowls AND a Maiya’s Roommate’s Hat out of one skein!
