Maria is a very feminine and delicate bonnet. Worked in a lovely lace pattern, knit on 5mm needles, it is a quick, satisfying and surprisingly easy little project.

Body of bonnet is worked flat and then joined in the round when its time to decrease for crown shaping, so there is no sewing needed! I-cord ties are added at the end.
