Marie’s Summer top is worked bottom-up. The ribbing is knitted on 3,5 needles, while the rest of the top is knitted on 4,5 mm needles. The I-cord is knitted on 4mm double pointed needles.
The body is worked in the round. When the slit in the back begins, the top is work in the flat—back and forth. The top is knit with selvegde stitches on both the armholes and the slit. On the front, there are pleats, which makes it extra feminine.
