This pattern is for a Tammy Hat. It is worked in the round from the bottom up. After the corrugated rib section, stitches are increased to reach the widest section of the hat and then decreased again before working the crown.

Tools Required
2.75mm DPN’s / Circular needles
Scissors
Darning Needle
Tape Measure
12” Dinner Plate (for blocking)

Skills Required
To knit this pattern you will need to be able to do stranded colourwork / Fair isle in the round using DPNs or circulars, Working from Charts. k2tog, M1, S1K2P (Slip one, k2 Pass Over)

There are five colours in this hat:

Jamieson & Smith 9113 - 1 ball
Jamieson & Smith 9097 - 1 ball
Jamieson & Smith 125 – 1 ball
Jamieson Spindrift 9177 – 1 ball
Jamieson & Smith 91 – 1 ball

You don’t necessarily need a whole ball of each colour. I used oddments from my stash.

For the tension / gauge swatch, I suggest you repeat the border fair isle pattern in the round using the larger needle. Gauge is important.

You could substitute other 4ply yarns.
