Marigram Shawl
marigram
/ˈmærɪˌɡræm/
noun
1.
a graphic record of the tide levels at a particular coastal station
A fun and warm shawl designed for the “Knit North Yarn Crawl” 2017
The pattern is a chevron with alternating rows of lace.
Gauge is not that important but I would stick within a DK/Light Worsted weight. I loved using shades of the same color to achieve a gradient look or a 3-color palette that makes a bold statement. Finish off the shawl with huge pom-poms or tassels on the bottom edges of the points for a whimsical, modern look; or leave it plain for a more classic look.
Yarn Weight: Sport, Dk or light worsted
Suggested Yarn Amount: 800 - 900 yards
Solid Color: 4 - 100 gram/4 oz skeins

Color B 1 skein
Color C 1 skein
Dimensions (approximate): 20” x 64”
Hook: I/5.5 mm hook or hook for best drape while maintaining stitch definition
